Product Review: Q Tips Precision Tips

These Q-tips Precision Tips are a great addition to your beauty arsenal. Why?

Well they help with the following areas in my experience:

**Clean up the mess of an unsteady hand for Eyeliner.
**Helps create a sharp eyeliner edge cat eye shape as I dip this in makeup remover and wipe away the edge of the wing to make it look sharp.
**Helps clean up my nail polish around the edges of my cuticles when I dip the tip in nail polish remover.
**Try it on your lips for a sharp lip liner type of shape on your lips or to dab off excess lip gloss too.

These are only a few of the uses I have found for this product Its good to buy one product and do multiple duties with it. This product was provided to me courtesy of #Influenster for review purposes this is my honest opinion on the product. #IDoVoxBox

OOTD: Hot White Dress

Hello beautiful chicas now that the wedding craziness is over I wanted to share with you my outfit of the day for my engagement photos.

Spring season makes me so happy as the color pallet changes into uplifting shades that makes me smile. I love being outdoors these days and this day was no exception. I decided to go with white as it has not only been a huge trend this season but has always been a personal favorite of mine. This is a crochet type of texture which was very comfortable and the material felt as if I was wearing nothing. For shoes I paired it with the Fancy Steps nude Kim pumps which add a little bit of height but don't weigh you down or make you tired. The nude color and the clear sections make your legs appear longer which I definitely benefit from in that department.

I hope you enjoy this look and make sure to use a hot white dress this spring.

Lip of the Day: Plumful

Hola chicas I got this MAC lipstick since I have quite a few of their must have shades. The shades I have are the standard that most beauty fanatics have from the very dark to the party bright pink and tropical reds.

Sometimes I want a "normal" lip shade with a hint of color not being pink or nude. I chose Plumful as this gives just a slight punch of color and enhance most of our lip colors which can have a hint of red or mauve shade. I was quite impressed at how smooth this lipstick was and it enhanced my lips just the right amount perfect for those days when you don't want to have the full tranny makeup face. Yes! there are days when I want to breathe! Very few days since I love makeup but I would def recommend this shade as it is perfect for the office or for the weekend.

My Experience with Dr. Robles Plastic Surgeon

I was invited as a special guest blogger to learn about Dr. Robles Plastic Surgery office and what services they offer to their vast client base in the Phoenix Metro Area. I must admit I was very nervous when they contacted me as I am knowledgeable about most beauty matters but not in plastic surgery.
Iron custom artwork in the lobby.
Love the silhouette of his business cards great design concept.
The entrance Spanish style office condo.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by the friendly staff and gorgeous smiling ladies who offered me tea and water as I was seated. The atmosphere at Dr. Robles office was warm and inviting. I did not get the clinical cold vibe like some doctors offices or what you would expect.

Smiling beauties to greet you.
First and foremost Dr. Ramon A. Robles specializes in plastic surgery in particular breast augmentation, tummy tuck, lipo sculpting, and some injectable alternatives such as Botox. As a highly skilled plastic surgeon who has changed many peoples lives Dr. Robles prides himself in his clients most of the women who are Latinas for which he has coined one of his procedures as "The Latina Mami Makeover". In his many years of practice Dr. Robles has experienced many clients who have gone through dramatic weight loss, people who have had children and went through extreme body changes, and even plastic surgeries gone wrong where he has had to help these patients recover their bodies to help them lead their normal lives and  boost their self esteem.

One thing I really liked about our conversation was that no matter how many questions and how awkward they were Dr. Robles was so gracious and had a real life answers for it. There comes a point where it is obvious a person enjoys what they do and he is not an exception.

Dr. Robles Facts:

  • Plastic surgery is not a quick fix if you do not want to diet and exercise. You must lose all the weight you want the traditional way as being overweight can increase the risks during any surgical procedure.

  • Many patients go back and forth and always go for the lowest priced doctor thinking they are getting a great deal but your health is nothing to bargain for.

  • Do your research and make sure at www.asps.org if your doctor has their credentials and is registered with American Association of Plastic Surgeons you can read up on their credentials and all their profile info.

  • After his undergraduate studies Dr. Robles went on to attend Duke University Aesthetic Surgery Center where he performed surgery on a severe face burn victim and resulted in their face being restored to a normal which made the patient and family very happy and grateful.

  • Dr, Robles changes lives, he sees many cases where women come in with their spouses and partners and their face is emotionless. After the surgery and the quick recovery he greets them both with smiling faces and both hugging Dr. Robles for helping them boost their self esteem and restoring that luster in the relationship.

  • Most importantly the goal of Dr. Robles is a patient who is happy with their results, healthy, and a quick recovery as is the case with most of his patients.

One of the many awards Dr. Robles has received.

After my afternoon of laughs and intense Q & A with Dr. Robles and his staff I am more knowledgeable and although I have not had any procedures you better bet WHEN I do. I will most definitely visit my good ole' friend Dr. Robles to help enhance my curves.

Valentine's Day Outfit

Hello beauties hope you are having a lovely day. Last week was Valentines Day and I knew I would see multiple posts about Single Awareness day lol. I always had a Valentine not because I had a boyfriend but because my mom and dad would always greet me with a teddy bear or balloons. It's just another day but the extras are always nice and welcomed.

Hunnybun and I got Mom some beautiful flowers, a pashmina scarf to match and some stationary for her desk as well as candy. She was super happy when he brought it in and then he followed it with a bouquet for me. He's super sweet we've been together forever so I was ecstatic to get beautiful fresh flowers.

I also sent my sister who's in college a super adorable Valentine customized basket from Fancy Steps and the best part was that it arrived on time. Sisty was happy to get this valentine needless to say.

I wore red and mixed it with some zip up fitted trousers and boots as it was windy and cool weather that day. Hope you enjoy this post.

OOTD: Sweetheart neckline

I don't know what I was waiting for with this dress. It had been unworn in my closet with tags and all since last winter. This was the perfect day to wear it as the neutral tones are versatile and great for work and play.

My favorite part was the soft fabric that it honestly felt like wearing a worn In but controlling sweater. The sweetheart neckline was a bonus as it flatters most figures and creates a sexy illusion without showing any skin. This was a weekday look I hope you enjoy it.

Spring 2013 Shopping Inspiration

As I run on my daily shopping trips and even when I am supposed to be on a break I always make sure there is time to browse. I think we can all agree that store displays are the best places for style inspiration. The retail designers always display multiple layers of clothing if it is a mannequin or several elements if it is a table scape where you just want to get your hands on every single item.

Whether or not you succumb to your evil shopping conscience is a gamble but one thing is for sure you are almost instantly inspired to get an item of that color or in that mood.

I have been browsing for the past week and could not help to clear mu mind of all these spring prints and bright colors that make me feel like taking a walk in a park that is filled with lots of colorful foliage and well manicured spring landscape.

Are you into spring colors yet? What is your fave spring shade?

Hollywood California Trip

Hello chicas as a late  follow up to the last post we continue in our trip to North Hollywood, California. This trip was jam packed with action and we had so much fun as well.

As we arrived to our hotel Candy from Curves Ahead Blog greeted us and we just ran up to each other and hugged. It felt like we just picked up where we left off in our text and Facetime conversations. We had not seen each other since March and it seriously felt like an eternity. Subconsciously I thought it had been close to a year since I had last seen her but it was less than that.

It was cold and windy we had minimum three layers I may have had  four! So coffee was perfect that night!

My beautiful bridesmaid and I. Love this picture
Bride and bridesmaid time shopping at the beautiful flower marker. Out cute heart friendship rings, and the pink champagne courtesy of Candy.
This trip could not be complete without visiting the delicious bakery Porto's that place is so good every item even the red velvet cupcakes which I was surprised.

The evening was spent having dinner on Hollywood Blvd, and went inside the iconic  Roosevelt Hotel.
The Roosevelt Hotel decor was amazing very Old Hollywood.
Had to take this picture for my friend.

Lip Of the Day: Just Peachy

I decided to wear a soft but bright color on this day to mix things up a bit.

This is a great color to warm up your face and get airing ready. Wet n Wild lipstick in Peachy is a creamy peach matte shade that lasts throughout the day.

Con: The formula is very dry and can chap your lips if you do not apply a lip moisturizer.

Below is a quick picture and a swatch I did since I made a video on this day and a few of you asked for a swatch of Just Peachy. You can't go wrong with a $1.99 lipstick.

The Beverly Garland Hotel

A few weeks ago I took a trip to California, specifically North Hollywood. It was great to change the scenery and get away for a minute. This trip was much needed as our schedules have been so crazy and it is good to get away especially since the holiday craze is over.

So cozy and perfect location for our stay I loved the fountain and the up lighting at night.
Cozy outdoor touches and many places to sit and drink coffee as well as Decoy Lounge where we relaxed and had a few drinks on the evenings.
Tula's Cafe had a coffee bar with an extensive coffee menu and a brunch buffet or ala carte menu. The fresh fruit platter was compliments of Chef Raul and the wonderful restaurant staff who made us feel so special.
Then I received this amazing Pink champagne welcome gift along with this centerpiece.

You want to know who this is from? Stay tuned for the second part of this post.

Aggie's Mac n Cheese

On this rainy day the only thing that sounds good is laying around the sofa with something warm. Comfort food hits the spot and I decided to make Macaroni and cheese the main course. I posted a picture on Facebook and a few of the ladies wanted me to share the recipe I hope this pictorial helps you as I have never posted a recipe on here.

Disclosure: Now ladies keep in mind this is not healthy or figure friendly and this recipe is enough to feed a small army so there will probably be some leftovers which is great.

Ingredients:
1- 1 lb box of elbow macaroni (boiled & drained)
3 cups of milk
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
6 tablespoons of butter (trying to beat Paula Deen here)
1/2 bag of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/2 bag of Shredded Mozzarella Chese or Gruyere but Mozzarella is cheaper
5 strips of bacon cooked drained of fat and crumbled
1/2 Tbsp of salt
Black pepper to taste and look
2-3 Dashes of Paprika (I love paprika for flavor and color)
1/3 cup of bread crumbs

Directions:

In a pot medium heat melt butter. DO NOT let the butter get brown. Once butter is melted add the flour and whisk. This is called a roux keep whisking the roux so that it does not clump. Then add the milk and salt and pepper as well as the paprika. Keep whisking this over low to medium heat until it thickens.

Once this starts thickening and is warm add the shredded cheese and keep whisking. Once this is mixed thoroughly and is a thick consistency remove from heat and keep adding the cheese.

Best to have your macaroni in a buttered baking dish I used a glass Pyrex type 13x9, I poured the thick mixture over the macaroni and made holes so the mixture will go through the bottom of the macaroni and the pan. Make sure all the noodles are coated in this. Add more cheese and bacon at the top and very lightly sprinkle the bread crumbs on top. Once assembled put the baking dish into preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Enjoy I hope this helps explain the recipe and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I feel honored that you would even want me to share this with you ladies.

Outfit of the Day: Textured Scarf

This picture was from over a week ago and once again Instagram was the culprit as I post it there but forgot to post it here.

It is a blurry image but I wanted to show you it either way. It was a very cold day and I was indoors most of the day with the exception in the evening hunnybun and I went to do some shopping and had some coffee afterwards.

I was having the worst hair day and with the cold weather which I am a sissy to I did not care. I was wearing all black and not feeling my usual self but when I threw on the scarf I felt warm and soft that it made me wear a bright lip and go out in public to make it a great evening.

Do you ever have those days where you just don't want to go anywhere or do anything? I rarely do but It ended up being a perfect relaxed evening as it was so slow at most stores and we had time to browse without crowds and relax and chit chat over coffee.

Announcement and Updates

I know many of you follow me on Instagram which is where I post the majority of my updates and pictures as of lately.

I wanted to share with you that over the holidays (two weeks before Thanksgiving to be exact) I started planning my WEDDING! Yes that may sound crazy but we stumbled upon a location and we just fell in love with it and thought why don't we get married here?

With this being said the days and weeks after that day have flown by. I knew time was fast but the days fly by as I am busy working, planning and trying to write some posts sporadically which I hope you can understand. I am a very sporadic blogger and have come to realize this blog is an extension of me and with the years has become part of my life. Once I stop blogging I may be relaxed but I always return as I feel like a part of me (which is all of you) is missing. So why not share the news formally and let you know that I am now a bride to be minus the Bridezilla part I hope.

I will share some images to give you a run down of the whirlwind and fun times and moment I have had once this wedding planning journey started and will post more from here if you enjoyed this.
