Holiday Shopping Haul

Hello ladies here is this mix of various stores which had amazing deals and they made for a great shopping experience as I was able to get so many items for truly low prices.

I also explored stores I had not really shopped at that much such as Kohl's but now I know they have sales and mark downs very often so slowly getting familiar with them.

Enjoy this haul.

OOTN: Oxblood Peplum

Hope you are all having wonderful holidays and enjoying this time of the year. Here is another outfit that I had not posted hope you like it.

A fitted oxblood pencil skirt with splattered peplum top from the Lana del Rey collection at H&M. I loved this tops not only for its design which is so unique but for its fabric which is so soft and silky makes it a treat to wear. I ended up piring it with bright electric blue mary janes and a steel colored necklace.

OOTN: Phoenix Fashion Week 2012

Hola chicas here are some pictures from Phoenix Fashion Week 2012. Was chatting with other fellow bloggers in the Yelp Log In lounge so much that I did not get very many pictures as expected. This event was held in October and I thought it would be a good idea to share these pictures now or else I would feel so bad. I have been procrastinating on the blog and most of the time I update on Twitter or Instagram as it is so much faster.

Skirt: Express Boots: Fancy Steps Belt: Charlotte Russe

Versatile outfit to be running around in and to take pictures in.

Fall Color Trend: Emerald

Hello lovelies I have been overwhelmed with projects around the house that have actually gotten bigger than anticipated.

I have been catching up on my fashion magazines in between moments and have noticed the color emerald being very prominent on many fashion runways as well as shades of makeup and other cosmetics. Although I love color in general I've never really owned many emerald pieces. I decided to take this silky emerald hi low dress that has never been worn since January. Yes that's right I have things in my closet I just forget about.

Although I am not too experienced at wearing emerald I loved the color and want to try more pieces. Have you tried this color trend?

The theme of the night was Little Blaxk Dress and wanted to add something to the LBD so I reached for this gray prinmted blazer that I have only worn one other time. OOTD: Neutral Polka Dots

I have always loved polka dolts in different sizes, patterns, and colors. When I saw this lightweight top I had to have it. I paired it with the white pants since I believe the color temperature stays cool and neutral. As you can see I  DO NOT follow the old rule of NOT wearing white after Labor Day. I love white and especially in jean form.

I was originally going to pair this top and jeans with a beige pump but thought why not push the envelope and wear my floral pumps? They have been in my closet for close to  a month and a little pattern mixing couldn't hurt.

Floral Pumps: Bamboo

OOTN: Silk Creme and White

Let me start off by saying that I had no idea what to wear for the Rare Bird Fashion Show and was scrambling up until the last minute for something to wear.

I knew it was an evening fashion show where there will be lots of standing, possibly sitting, and moving around. I took a quick look in my closet while I had curlers in my hair and pulled out this silk creme top that I had picked up a few weeks ago and not even thought of wearing. Well once the top was selected I tried on two different skirts, Body con-NO! Too predictable. So I DARED to wear a black pleated skirt which I was set on but the way it fit me I was not convinced. Why was I not convinced with the pleated skirt? Well 1. I am short and my legs can look stumpy 2. I was worried it would add volume to my frame (who wants to look bulkier?).

Once I completed the look I asked my stylist (hunnybun) and he agreed that it looked best with the silk top untucked more relaxed and flattering he said. These pics are not the best but it was crowded and this gives you a glance at what It looked like once it was put together.
