OOTD: Hot White Dress

Hello beautiful chicas now that the wedding craziness is over I wanted to share with you my outfit of the day for my engagement photos.

Spring season makes me so happy as the color pallet changes into uplifting shades that makes me smile. I love being outdoors these days and this day was no exception. I decided to go with white as it has not only been a huge trend this season but has always been a personal favorite of mine. This is a crochet type of texture which was very comfortable and the material felt as if I was wearing nothing. For shoes I paired it with the Fancy Steps nude Kim pumps which add a little bit of height but don't weigh you down or make you tired. The nude color and the clear sections make your legs appear longer which I definitely benefit from in that department.

I hope you enjoy this look and make sure to use a hot white dress this spring.

Valentine's Day Outfit

Hello beauties hope you are having a lovely day. Last week was Valentines Day and I knew I would see multiple posts about Single Awareness day lol. I always had a Valentine not because I had a boyfriend but because my mom and dad would always greet me with a teddy bear or balloons. It's just another day but the extras are always nice and welcomed.

Hunnybun and I got Mom some beautiful flowers, a pashmina scarf to match and some stationary for her desk as well as candy. She was super happy when he brought it in and then he followed it with a bouquet for me. He's super sweet we've been together forever so I was ecstatic to get beautiful fresh flowers.

I also sent my sister who's in college a super adorable Valentine customized basket from Fancy Steps and the best part was that it arrived on time. Sisty was happy to get this valentine needless to say.

I wore red and mixed it with some zip up fitted trousers and boots as it was windy and cool weather that day. Hope you enjoy this post.

OOTD: Sweetheart neckline

I don't know what I was waiting for with this dress. It had been unworn in my closet with tags and all since last winter. This was the perfect day to wear it as the neutral tones are versatile and great for work and play.

My favorite part was the soft fabric that it honestly felt like wearing a worn In but controlling sweater. The sweetheart neckline was a bonus as it flatters most figures and creates a sexy illusion without showing any skin. This was a weekday look I hope you enjoy it.

Fall Color Trend: Emerald

Hello lovelies I have been overwhelmed with projects around the house that have actually gotten bigger than anticipated.

I have been catching up on my fashion magazines in between moments and have noticed the color emerald being very prominent on many fashion runways as well as shades of makeup and other cosmetics. Although I love color in general I've never really owned many emerald pieces. I decided to take this silky emerald hi low dress that has never been worn since January. Yes that's right I have things in my closet I just forget about.

Although I am not too experienced at wearing emerald I loved the color and want to try more pieces. Have you tried this color trend?

Nostra Style House Rare Bird Fashion Show

Last Friday I had the honor to be invited to Nostra Style House Rare Bird Fashion Show which showcased the clothing and style this locally owned boutique has to offer. I met with Phoenix Bloggers Angela and Joanne and Tiffany (links to their blogs on their name) we had some drinks and sat front row to make sure we get the best shots for our blogs.

The venue was perfect it was Monarch Theatre in Phoenix which offered great lighting and enough space for folks to be seated and several bars to order drinks from. I knew about the event on a short notice but I was very happy and pleased with the setup and the entertainment. In addition to the fashion show which included live performances from Flamenco Por La Vida as well as Dulce Dance Company. As the fashion show and performances ended there were various photographers taking pictures of the fashionistas and all the outfits. It was a great experience to support a local woman owned business as Angelica Gonzalez is the proud owner of this boutique and I am looking forward to shopping here for some of the edgy looks seen on the runway.

The setup I liked the tropical plants.

Swag bags waiting for us.

OOTN: Pastels and Neutrals

I almost forgot to post this simple outfit of the night. Its a neutral butterscotch colored sheer button down paired them with some mint jeans last worn HERE.

The last thing I decoded was on the shoes and instead of choosing a dark or taupe pair I said why not add another pastel shade to make this more fun along with same color lipstick. I was pleased with the way the pops of color complimented each other and like pastels, plus it was only my second time wearing these jeans which I think I need to wear more. The pictures were rushed and not the best but you get the idea lol.

OOTD: White Casual Shorts

Hola chicas I named this post casual shorts because I was clueless as to what to think of it and that is pretty much how this look came about. I did not put any thought into it and there was no special occasion. This was right before heading out to dinner and after having ice cream, which I'm pretty sure adds volume to myself before taking any picture, but oh well have to take it easy every now and then ya know! lol

Sometimes you just want to be careless and not have to think to hard to dress ourselves. At least that is what I tell myself in order to not feel guilty about not planning an outfit/look.

Do you plan your outfits? Is it easier or do you only do it on certain days?

OOTD: Summer Colorful Look

Hola chicas the summer continues and with it I go along using these bright colors that I cannot stop combining with busy prints which I love. I was originally going to wear a long skirt but did not think it favored me so much. I decided to pair my new Kim Kim pumps which I adore from Fancy Steps with this printed skirt with subtle touches of pink, neon yellow, and a little bit of black with it's rope belt.

I hope you like these pictures as a special friend Adriana from Little Petite blog was my photographer for the day. More on the on a later post.

Review: Retro Fashion Swimwear

Hola chicas summer was fast to come and with the rise in temperature it is a given that some of us will be spending time outdoors  by the pool, beach, lake, or just out in the sun.

Swimwear shopping is not my favorite thing to do as most bathing suits are not forgiving and only seem to highlight those problem areas. However when I was offered to participate in 2012 Fashion Collection I was delighted as most good quality bathing suits can run up to the triple digits.

I chose this Coco Rave Halter style as it reminds me of a 50's beach bombshell that I can try to imitate.

  • The rushing on the abdominal area is very comfortable, double lined and makes you look slimmer.
  • The bra area is my favorite as I was able to select my bra size so the cups and straps are roomy enough without any spillage.
  • The ruffle skirted hem is an added bonus as it gives moderate coverage to the rear and thigh area.
Overall I was very pleased with this swimsuit and noticed it was double lined which means it will last me through more washes and more summers.

OOTD: Hi Low Hem Top

Hola chicas here I am in this 105 F degree weather! I was going to wear a dress but shorts are more comfortable for me so I opted for this white rolled denim style that I picked up last week.along with a cool sheer sleeveless top.

I know this sheer top can be worn many ways such as unbuttoned, tucked in, untucked, list goes on. I was tucking it in and realized I left the back out and I was about to fix it, I was running late and decided to leave it as is and show off the low part of the hem and more relaxed vibe and its the weekend its about doing what you want right?
