OOTD: Winter Pastels

As it is still cold in my neck of the woods I dress in layers for this weather. This desert rat has a low tolerance for the cold I have found that out recently. It must be the fact that it is very warm for almost 90% of the year so I have never really thought about it.

However I cant help but browse through my Elle, Glamour, and InStyle subscriptions to become mesmerized by the beautiful pastels that are gracing the pages and editorial spreads.

This is a super casual outfit of the day look that is realistic of what I wear on any given day just add more layers at night I hope you like it.

OOTN: Phoenix Fashion Week 2012

Hola chicas here are some pictures from Phoenix Fashion Week 2012. Was chatting with other fellow bloggers in the Yelp Log In lounge so much that I did not get very many pictures as expected. This event was held in October and I thought it would be a good idea to share these pictures now or else I would feel so bad. I have been procrastinating on the blog and most of the time I update on Twitter or Instagram as it is so much faster.

Versatile outfit to be running around in and to take pictures in.

The crowd starting to gather up for the show.

Lulu's Style Studio Event at MonOrchid Gallery

Once again the Phoenix Style Collective put out a great event for the Phoenix Bloggers. This was Lulu's Style Studio held at MonOrchid Gallery in Downtown Phoenix.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a sweet young lady who looked for our names in the list and gave us a bracelet along with a style scavenger hunt. Right away I knew it would be a fun evening.

Once we went in there were many activities for us to do and they had an amazing swag bag that had so many products and samples. One of the sponsors was Pom juice and they made us mocktails and gave us products to take home with us along with Kind granola and others. I didnt take many pictures because once we got there we were socializaing and going to all the different booths but I hope you can get an idea of how fiun it was.

Fall Color Trend: Emerald

Hello lovelies I have been overwhelmed with projects around the house that have actually gotten bigger than anticipated.

I have been catching up on my fashion magazines in between moments and have noticed the color emerald being very prominent on many fashion runways as well as shades of makeup and other cosmetics. Although I love color in general I've never really owned many emerald pieces. I decided to take this silky emerald hi low dress that has never been worn since January. Yes that's right I have things in my closet I just forget about.

Although I am not too experienced at wearing emerald I loved the color and want to try more pieces. Have you tried this color trend?

Hola chicas I wanted to show you this ultra chic outfit that can be casual or dressy and ready for happy hour or meeting up with friends.

Kenia paired a few layers of different elements like sheer chiffon witha cotton ribbed tank and a very unique lether skort (skirt/short). To add the extra oomph to this look the pointy neon pumps were like the icing to the cake in this look. Emjoy my beauties.

Fashion Night Out 2012 Scottsdale

Last week I was so excited to see my Instagram feed with the #FNO hashtag all accross the nation. I joined the rest of the fashion population and attended our local Fashion Night Out at Neiman Marcus. As I arrived a bit late the fashion show was already in mid session and was greeted by a booth from The W Hotel offering tasty drinks. Once in the crowd we headed into Neiman Marcus where they had a photo booth and would give your pictures to keep. I really enjoyed that. One of the floors had a live band with many fashion books and couture displays. We spotted the Phoenix Fashion Week crew and had to stop by hang out in their area. Phoenix Fashion Week had models, designers, and a Little Black Dress Challenge in which we voted between three local designers in a competition for the titel of Little Black Dress.

We voted for our favorite and received a Little Black Dress shirt as a swag gift.
