OOTN: Phoenix Fashion Week 2012

Hola chicas here are some pictures from Phoenix Fashion Week 2012. Was chatting with other fellow bloggers in the Yelp Log In lounge so much that I did not get very many pictures as expected. This event was held in October and I thought it would be a good idea to share these pictures now or else I would feel so bad. I have been procrastinating on the blog and most of the time I update on Twitter or Instagram as it is so much faster.

Fashion Night Out 2012 Scottsdale

Last week I was so excited to see my Instagram feed with the #FNO hashtag all accross the nation. I joined the rest of the fashion population and attended our local Fashion Night Out at Neiman Marcus. As I arrived a bit late the fashion show was already in mid session and was greeted by a booth from The W Hotel offering tasty drinks. Once in the crowd we headed into Neiman Marcus where they had a photo booth and would give your pictures to keep. I really enjoyed that. One of the floors had a live band with many fashion books and couture displays. We spotted the Phoenix Fashion Week crew and had to stop by hang out in their area. Phoenix Fashion Week had models, designers, and a Little Black Dress Challenge in which we voted between three local designers in a competition for the titel of Little Black Dress.

We voted for our favorite and received a Little Black Dress shirt as a swag gift.

Phx Fashion Gives Back Event

Hello lovelies~ I have been a bad blogger I know (nodding head) I however have not forgotten about any of your blogs and will get back to my writing and posting duties.

The holidays are here and like many of you I have been at family gatherings and also a multitude of events that are planned around this jolly time. Phoenix Fashion Week organized Fashion Gives Back and extended an invitation to all individuals and local celebrities in the fashion industry to benefit a wonderful organization called AZ Helping Hands that helps those in need. This organization has events that help children obtain back packs for back to school and also families that are in need and cannot afford the necessities be it during the year or for the holidays.

All the guests brought donations of clothing, toys, shoes, apparel, and many other gift certificates in order to be donated to the families that were selected. The venue was decorated very festive for the holidays and the attendees enjoyed performances and raffles as well. I am very pleased to have been invited and that here in our local fashion community we can come together to offer what we have and make a family's holiday season that would otherwise not have the joy.

Fashionably Pink Charity Fashion Show

This event was organized by Phoenix Fashion Week to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. Phoenix Fashion Week is a group that focuses on Fashion, Education, and Social Awareness and the social issue for this event was breast cancer. This disease has impacted many families and individuals but also brought many people closer and has made the public very aware of the statistics and the severity of this. It is amazing how these women have gone through so many life changing circumstances in a short amount of time but are so strong and have turned this into a positive uplifting experience and are strong and beautiful.

This was a very important night as the breast cancer survivors modeled some pink fashion items along with local and national celebrities strutting down the catwalk in each of their signature walks. The event was held at The MIM (Musical Instrumental Museum) which was decked out in pink accents in honor of this wonderful organization.
