OOTN: Silk Creme and White

Let me start off by saying that I had no idea what to wear for the Rare Bird Fashion Show and was scrambling up until the last minute for something to wear.

I knew it was an evening fashion show where there will be lots of standing, possibly sitting, and moving around. I took a quick look in my closet while I had curlers in my hair and pulled out this silk creme top that I had picked up a few weeks ago and not even thought of wearing. Well once the top was selected I tried on two different skirts, Body con-NO! Too predictable. So I DARED to wear a black pleated skirt which I was set on but the way it fit me I was not convinced. Why was I not convinced with the pleated skirt? Well 1. I am short and my legs can look stumpy 2. I was worried it would add volume to my frame (who wants to look bulkier?).

Once I completed the look I asked my stylist (hunnybun) and he agreed that it looked best with the silk top untucked more relaxed and flattering he said. These pics are not the best but it was crowded and this gives you a glance at what It looked like once it was put together.

OOTN: Pastels and Neutrals

I almost forgot to post this simple outfit of the night. Its a neutral butterscotch colored sheer button down paired them with some mint jeans last worn HERE.

The last thing I decoded was on the shoes and instead of choosing a dark or taupe pair I said why not add another pastel shade to make this more fun along with same color lipstick. I was pleased with the way the pops of color complimented each other and like pastels, plus it was only my second time wearing these jeans which I think I need to wear more. The pictures were rushed and not the best but you get the idea lol.

Decided to post this outfit of the night that I only had these pictures for very limited. Excuse the quality but it was something quick and evening so it was dark. I found this blazer with cute off white and black stripes to offset the neon Cami and fuchsia lips. What i was wearing on my lips and my outfit reminded me of the club we were in that very night so also included an inspiration picture here.

Spring 2012 Accessories, Clothing and Shoe Haul

Hello chicas Its been along time since I filmed a video log but I missed sharing and decided to organize everything so you can get a closer look at some of the things I have recently acquired.

OOTD: Santa Barbara

The birthday girls weekend continued as we headed up the coast to lovely Santa Barbara. The Hyatt Santa Barbara was so lovely and had a quaint Spanish Style architecture. We had a great view of the beach and also conveniently situated poolside which also included a jacuzzi. The bed was super soft and comfortable as if you had fallen into a pile of feathers.

 For my outfit I decided to wear all colors as it is now spring and I wanted to whip out my new mint jeans that I have been dying to wear. I had the perfect blazer to go with this as well and the shoes were an added bonus as Candy let me borrow her shoes. That was the high light of the trip all the girls that went all had the same shoe size so you can imagine the dozens of shoe selection we had in our room.

OOTD: A New Day

Hola chicas hope you are all having an excellent first week of the year and keeping yourselves smiling and motivated as I am doing.

On the first day of the year after meeting up with amazing bloggers and my friend Candy I decided to continue my celebration of a new year with my friend. He is a great motivator and loves to take pictures and go hiking. On this day we decided to spontaneously go try a new for us seafood restaurant.

Before that we had some margaritas by the pool. The weather was nice and crisp not too hot or cold. This was a perfect occasion for us to set our goals and mind up for the new year and see what it has in store for us. I love days like this. Days when you do not plan a thing but everything is perfect and falls into place. Days where you have a smile on your face at all times.

NON-OOTD: Weekday Work Edition

Hello chicas! Well here is a few images of a NON outfit I call it as it is hot as fire here where I live and I had literally no time to get ready in the morning as my alarm went on snooze one too many times! lol Another thing is we have a weird dress code at work about casual stuff there are things that we can and cannot wear so this outfit passed the work dress code.

I don't like having restrictions on what to wear because I feel that changes with my mood and body of course since that changes on a daily basis as well. I also met up with a friend for a bite to eat which was great catching up on goals and projects we have.

Hello lovely chicas as the title states this is def an outfit of the day post but with a special appearance by my sweet friend Candy. For my bday we decided to take a mini vacay to California specifically the LA area to catch up with my friend and later San Diego for some RnR hahaha.

The weather was mild  during the day and windy and cool in the evening so I decided to wear a tshirt maxi dress with a cotton off the shoulder top in a bright color to contrast it. This outfit was very comfortable and perfect for the beach and walking in the pier. Hope you all had a great weekend I am just getting back into the swing of things.
