FOTD: Face of the Day using Mac's Faux Lipstick

I recently picked up Faux which is a Satin finish lipstick from MAC. Most of my nude lipsticks are beige, orange hued, or very light to wear on a daily basis. I normally reserve the super nude lip for evening with a simple smokey eye or use it for daytime with a dramatic liner.

This was a very soft consistency lipstick and applied true to its color as I was worried the red of my lips would prevent it from showing so much. I used it after moisturizing my lips and decided to do a flawless makeup look to really showcase the lips. I am surprised that this brown hued lipstick showed up and blended very well for my skin tone. This will now be added to my arsenal of daily lipsticks. Hope you like the swatch I did and showed it on my lips so you can see how it looks on similar skin tone like mine.

May AZ Fashion meetup: Talking Stick Casino

Hello beauties! Attended this past months fashion meetup and had a blast catching up with old friends, as well as meeting new designers, and bloggers. Phoenix Fashion Week has created a series of monthly meetups where several creative minds come together. They are held at different locations all over the metropolitan area that are very different and not to mention stylish its always inspiring to be around this crowd and always great turn out on every event.

I had a blast admiring all the beautiful designs and art that they had on display and below are just some of the  images I was able to capture hope you can get a glimpse of  the night. Besos mmuah xoxox.

Tarnished Tags had a beautiful setup loved the us wine of bottles as centerpieces. I also won an elephant necklace from their giveaways that night so lucky.

EOTD: Smokey light yellow, green, and blue eyeshadow. All products NYX jumbo eye pencils, LORAC Tantalizer bronzer, MAC lipstick in Frenzy, and Tarte Lights, camera, lashes mascara.

FYI: All these pics were taken at the end of the night so my makeup was not as fresh and vibrant as it was initially but still there.

FOTN, Contacts,and Hair Rut

Hello chicas! Here is a quick look I did the other night mainly using bronzer, purple, and brown eye shadows. I think these colors are subtle and they complement brown and hazel eyes.

Another I am giving colored contacts another shot as the ones I got this summer were not very comfortable and looked funny. I got these Pure Hazel colored contacts and they are not as dry as the previous ones. I think they look decent what do you girls think?

The below images are a few snapshots of the look and hopefully you can notice the contacts. One thing that I am dealing with is the fact that I am tired of doing my hair so that is why I have this messy hair bun. I am not sure what to do with it. Any suggestions or ideas for my hair?

Colored Contact Lenses

I recently purchased a pair of colored contact lenses from the mall. I have always adored the idea of looking different temporarily and playing with colors in your eyes as you can always go back to your normal self, however I am not the type that can stand anything around my eyes. Well I got them! Got them in Misty Hazel. I think they make me look a little bug eyed and I didnt think they were this round, but still getting used to having stuff in my eye for a few hours.

What do you ladies think? Yay or Nay or maybe I should try another color to best suit me?

EOTD: Matte pastel Pink and purple

I was looking at pics of myself and realized I pretty much always look the same..what ah rip off even if I try to do my eye color different. So Im attempting wearable look that looks like I actually have color.

I tried to make a subtle cut crease here not sure if you can tell.

I used: Revlon Peach sorbet(matte), purple and navy blue from 120 e/s pallete. NYX jumbo milk pencil for waterline, Clinique black gel liner, and black lashblast mascara. Any comments, suggestions, and feedback are welcome I am trying to look different here people. Dont be scurrred! lol

Chicano Art Show

This is how I did my hair and makeup for the Chicano Art Show. I tried to do a variation of a silvery smokey eye and this is how it turned out.Hope you gals like it, or let me know what you think of my attempt :)
